Volunteering
Volunteers play an essential role in the provision of social opportunities that blind and partially sighted people themselves have i dentified as being important to their quality of life. We cannot put a value on this work, except to say that without our volunteers we could not offer the wide range of services that blind and partially sighted people enjoy in Liverpool, thus making our service one of the best in the UK! There are plenty of volunteering opportunities and ways in which you could help us. This can range from volunteer minibus drivers and minibus escorts who enable otherwise isolated people to attend our activity clubs, to home visitors-people of a more mature age are particular valued in this area. There are of course many other volunteering opportunities, for example we always need help with charity bag packs and charity store collections; If you would like to become involved in some voluntary work, even if you could only spare 1 hour per week we would love to hear from you.
